Israel in Europe? Well, the Eurovision Song Contest comes out of the European Broadcasting Union's "Eurovision" TV distribution network (created to simulcast multi-nation soccer matches), and membership in the EBU has never been limited to European nations. Israel just happens to be the only middle-eastern member to compete regularly.

The video? Creepy clowns and retro-styled circus performers make everything better! No, really, I mean it. A few years back the Turks had indie rockers with a creepy circus-attraction themed video, and it was really cool. I don't think this is as sophisticated, but it's fun.
So, yeah, it's fun.
