BMI is pretty full of shite if all one measures is "height" and "weight", but that's what everyone knee-jerk does, despite the occasional disclaimers that athletes will post misleading higher numbers due to muscle weight.
Just comparing height to weight doesn't account for bone structure & density or actual level of muscle development and actual percentage of body fat. A less crude "BMI" (or whatever we need to actually call it) computation would account for those.
