I could be mistaken...

...but I think I just felt the building shake, and if it was the quake up in Lafayette that just registered at USGS (and the time would lead me to believe that), the numbers aren't going to be pretty.

Yep, I felt it, I just posted about it too....

I think it WAS indeed that quake. The timing is absolutely spot-on.

Yup. I felt it too.

Note to self, cat asleep on your tummy is NOT the way to experience a quake. OW.

I just posted the "report it" link...

I filed my "I felt it" report, but other than a slight chair wobble and a bit of creaking that was very short, it didn't do much around here. 2 members of my family were not sitting still and the 3rd was not awake, so none of them noticed it (and neither did the dogs, apparently, or at least they didn't react.)

How bad was it?

4.4, up between Berkeley and Concord (about 60 miles away. Friends up in Oakland and Concord said it was significant, but not major.

How was it for you, i.e., what happened?

Well, "I think I felt the building shake" pretty much covers it. One teensy jolt, cracking sounds from the ducts, if I had been at home I wouldn't have even noticed it; it would have been less violent than the shaking caused by the trucks coming past on the expressway.

P.S. I miss having the chance to be able to see you two more often. I do adore you both, you know? :P
