It was remarked tonight, while eating way too much sushi, that Ozeki Sake (U.S.A.) is also in Hollister. Look for Ozeki domestic Sake at the next

Last night I had two, ug, two shots of
wokka( http://www.wokkasaki.com/about.htm ), saki and vodka together in a bottle.....my head is telling me never to do that again, after much Tequila. Thank goodness I drank lots and lots of water!
Wokka sounds nasty. It's kind of backwards. Honjozu-style sake is sake with a bit of neutral spirits added; it lightens the flavor and opens up the aromatics a bit. Almost nobody imports Honjozu-shu to the states, though.
For a really wierd sensation, try Gekkeikan Zipang Sparkling Sake. It's good, but it's weird. Very BASFA...
We were with a twenty something crowd last night. And we outlasted them...heh. They thought Dave and I were "early forties" at most. The host of course knew.
