Somebody is trying to corner the market on Pfaff 332 (and 362) sewing machines. He just won two auctions, and is high bidder on 4 others, including bidding the one that I was specifically interested in up to $350. I don't really want a carrying case, stitch dial and table extension that much (because that's all I'm really short). A quick google search also found him bidding on (but not winning) a Pfaff industrial machine. He can't possibly be buying these for resale or for parts at the prices he's paying, so I'm baffled. Maybe he's starting a sweatshop.
I guess I'm waiting a while. Several fairly nice and complete machines came up in the last few weeks, and it doesn't appear that they're abberations. The mania will settle down.
In the mean time, there are 3 nice looking Elna #1 "Grasshopper" portables up, including one that's purportedly being sold by its original owner.
