time for a good laugh

Last week I got a complete working Elna Supermatic sewing machine for $46 (including shipping) on eBay.

I'm still watching for a few parts that I don't have. A supplies tray and stack of fashion stitch cams (which the machine I got includes) just went for $80.

I'm also watching out for a nice Elna 1 "Grasshopper" machine. It's a really nice ultra-portable, only a bit larger than the famous Singer 221 "Featherweight". It's got a few up on the featherwieight, though, in that it's lighter and features a free-arm (which, like the Supermatic, fits into the case to form a flat work table).

So where is a good, reasonably priced sewing machine shop? I've got 3 machines that all need help.

I have heard excellent things about The Place That Sells Sewing Machines (Daly City and Santa Rosa) from all the folks in GBACG.

The only time I've done business with The Viking Sewing Center in Willow Glen (on Lincoln Ave) they were decent to deal with, but I've never had them do service for me.
