Never trust a trailer

Still, a bit of possibility that the new HHGG movie won't suck.

(QuickTime, broadband probably a good idea)

Looks pretty. And I want to hope that the 'oh look we're parodying a movie trailer' bit is truly parody. But I dunno.

Well...

Stephen Fry makes a good "voice of the book." He (and the script itself) reminds me a lot of Peter Jones doing the guide entries in the radio play and the TV series.

So far, most of the "it sucks" reviews have concentrated on what parts of the books/radio shows/TV series didn't make it into the movie. And I tend to dismiss those kinds of reviews. This work needs to stand on its own, needs to find its own audience. I saw the same kind of reviews for "Fellowship of the Ring" when it first came out, but I think we can all agree that it didn't suck nearly as much as the early reviews claimed.

JOhn.

Even though it seems to be missing parts.
Um, I was told not to bother with the Harry Potter movies, when each came out.

Since I didn't read the books, the movies were alright.

Oh, and since it's Alan Rickman doing Marvin, I just might see if I can come up with that robot costume. Sue me, I like Marvin.

I don't know what it is about Rickman...but...it might be how viscious Professor Snape is, and how pompus Dr Lazarus was that kinda warms my heart where he's concerned.

Re: Even though it seems to be missing parts.
I have read the HP books, and loved the movies. I re-read LotR right before the first movie came out, and loved the movies. I'll probably dig up my HHGG omnibus and (if I can find them) radio scripts and read them again within the next two weeks.

That's o.k. doll, I went ahead and started reading the HHGG books when I heard that they were going to make a feature. But your trailer was better than the other one I saw.

Oh, and I have watched most of the episodes that KTEH or is it the channel from Rhonert Park...anyway, they are showing HHGG from the Brittish TV show near midnight on the weekends..I DVR'd it.

Thanks again Andy, the quicktime commercial helped lighten my mood.
