Save the Sea Kittens!

What's a sea kitten?

Well, it's the same relation to a real kitten that sea monkeys are to real monkeys.

Well, that's not true. Monkeys don't eat sea monkeys. Kittens do eat sea kittens.

this post almost prompted me to create a "stupid" tag

My kittens are (sea)cannibals! Also, if seakittens eat seamonkeys, should we kill them to save the monkeys?

ever since our anniversary trip to Monterey, Jovino and I have referred to otters as "sea kittens" so I'm rather offended that these guys are co-opting our cute little idea. (if you've ever seen otters playing I'm sure you can relate - they really are like seafarin' kittens!)

also one of our cats spends an inordinate amount of time lying around on her back, like a land-otter - so I think our connection makes the most sense. stupid indeed!

My favorite part is the last page of Chapter 3 of Sea Kitten Stories, complete with a real recipe for kitten souffle. I'd like to suggest that give the intent of the website, an actual *recipe* is probably a bad idea.

...Because fish are cuddly, furry and pettable, and like to snuggle on our laps and purr. Duh. :p~~~

Actually I did have koi that would cuddle in your lap and loved to be rubbed if you knelt down in the fishpond. But koi are not seakittens.
