I'm envious of your Hugo Montenegro, and I used to own a Super-8 projector (and want a surger). But I take exception to exempting your spouse. galtine1 and I didn't exempt each other, else we would have put Curacao as a place we've been d^:

If I hadn't, the only thing I could have filled in was the place, because at this point our property is so merged I couldn't have offered a CD, book, dvd or piece of technology.

Hey!
Just so you know, Anna Russell is on my Interest list. You might want to reconsider your obscure DVD/VHS selection.

Re: Hey!
Well, the DVD editions of "The (First) Farewell Concert" and "Crown Princess of Musical Parody" are very recent releases (FFC about 2 years ago, CPMP in the last few months), and they're not from a major market publisher/distributor.

Sorry, but this is the BMG France edition that includes both "Music from The Man from U.N.C.L.E." and "More Music from The Man from U.N.C.L.E." on one CD.

She made a career of incredibly researched musical parody starting in the late 50's and continuing until about a decade ago. Her "Farewell Concert" series ran from 1984-1994.

She's famous for explaining and performing the entire Ring des Niebelungs (Wagner's Ring Cycle, a trilogy of operas that's over 24 hours in length if you run them back-to-back) in 30 minutes.

The videos are obscure because they're only published by a small non-mainstream house and the DVDs were only released in the last two or so years. Sony re-released 3 albums on CD a few years back: "Album?" "Encore?" and "Again?" and they're currently available. If you're at all interested in classical music, they're a must-hear.

The U.N.C.L.E. disk we've got is the BMG France release of both albums on a single CD.
